Schon der Urgroßvater der heutigen Firmenbesitzer hatte ein Baugeschäft in Tübingen. Die Ursprünge der heutigen Firma Hahn Bau GmbH gehen allerdings auf den Großvater zurück. Als Großvater Wilhelm Hahn seinen Meister im Pflasterhandwerk (heute Strassen-bauerhandwerk) abgelegt hatte, gründete er im Jahre 1924 in Tübingen eine eigene Firma. Damals noch als Pflaster- und Walzenbetrieb. Später wurde daraus die Firma W. Hahn, Strassenbau, Tübingen.
Der Sohn von Wilhelm Hahn, Wilhelm Erwin Karl Hahn, trat früh in die elterliche Baufirma ein und baute diese zu einer überregional tätigen Strassen-, Tief- und Hochbau- firma aus. Zeitweise wurden bis zu 80 Mitarbeiter beschäftigt. Nach seinem Studium im Bauingenieurwesen an der Universität Stuttgart trat dann der ältere Sohn von Wilhelm Erwin Karl Hahn, Dipl.-Ing. Wilhelm Thomas Hahn im Jahre 1988 in das elterliche Bauunternehmen ein. Der zweite Sohn Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Eckhardt Hahn arbeitete nach seinem Bauingenieurstudium an der Fachhochschule für Technik in Stuttgart noch mehrere Jahre als Bauleiter bei einer größeren Baufirma in Karlsruhe, bevor auch er im Jahre 1997 in die elterliche Baufirma eintrat.
Im Jahre 2003 zog sich Wilhelm Erwin Karl Hahn aus dem aktiven Berufsleben zurück und liquidierte die Firma W. Hahn, Strassenbau, Tübingen. Seine Söhne Wilhelm Thomas Hahn und Eckhardt Hahn gründeten im Jahre 2004 die Firma Hahn Bauservice GmbH. Sie beschäftigt derzeit fast 50 Mitarbeiter und wickelt Strassen-, Tief- und Hochbau-Maßnahmen ab im Raum Tübingen/Reutlingen, in Böblingen/Sindelfingen sowie im Stuttgarter Raum. Außer für öffentliche werden auch für private und gewerbliche Auftraggeber Baumaßnahmen durchgeführt. Ebenso ist man im Tankstellenbau tätig.
Seit Ende 2013 ist die Fa. Hahn in Tübingen am neuen Standort im "Kressbacher Gässle" ansässig. Wie bisher im Gewerbegebiet "Steinlachwasen", aber an der Strasse nach Kressbach. Seit dem Umzug firmiert man unter "HAHN BAU GMBH".
Bedingt durch einen umfangreichen Maschinen- und Gerätepark, der ständig ergänzt oder ersetzt werden muß, ist die Firma Hahn Bau GmbH auch im Gebrauchtmaschinenhandel tätig.

Already the great grandfather of today's business owners had a construction company in Tuebingen. The origins of Hahn Bau GmbH, however go back to the grandfather. After the grandfather, Wilhelm Hahn passed his exam as master craftsman (now the road builders guild), he founded his own company in Tuebingen in 1924. Back then, as a paving and roller construction company. Later it became the W. Hahn Road Construction Company, Tuebingen.
The son of Wilhelm Hahn, Wilhelm Erwin Karl Hahn, entered the family run construction business at early age and turned it into a cross regional civil and structural engineering firm. At times, up to 80 staff were employed. After completing his studies in civil engineering at the University of Stuttgart, the elder son of Wilhelm Erwin Karl Hahn, Dipl.-Ing. Wilhelm Thomas Hahn joined the family construction business in 1988. The younger son, Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Eckhardt Hahn, after finishing his studies as civil engineer at the University of Applied Sciences in Stuttgart, worked as a project supervisor for a major construction company in Karlsruhe before joining the family business in 1997.
In 2003, Wilhelm Erwin Karl Hahn retired from the daily business and closed the company W. Hahn Road Construction, Tuebingen. His sons Wilhelm Thomas Hahn and Eckhardt Hahn founded the new company Hahn Bauservice GmbH in 2004. It currently employs a staff of almost 50 and is equipped to handle road construction, civil engineering and building construction projects in the region of Tuebingen / Reutlingen, Boeblingen / Sindelfingen and the Stuttgart area. We are involved in the public works sector as well as private and commercial construction projects. In addition, we are experienced in constructing petrol stations.
Since the end of 2013 the company Hahn resides at the new location in the "Kressbacher Gässle". As before in the industrial area "Steinlachwasen", but in the street to Kressbach. Since the move, the company operates under the name "HAHN BAU GMBH".
Due to our extensive fleet of construction machinery and equipment, which is constantly being updated or replaced, Hahn Bau GmbH is also a commercial vendor for used gear.
